Bulb
Camera shutter setting often denoted by a B on the shutter speed dial, where the shutter remains open as long as the shutter release is pressed. The bulb setting is used to create long exposures of a few seconds or more.
Often the bulb setting is used along with a remote pneumatic release (operated by squeezing a rubber bulb, hence the name) or cable release to avoid shaking the camera as the shutter is operated. For really long exposures, some remote releases can be locked in the released position.
