Bounce card

Reflector used to bounce light from a flash onto the subject.

Some flash units have built-in bounce cards which are normally hidden but can be extended for use (the white part, above). These are intended to reflect some light forward to produce catch lights in the eyes of people in the photo, so are sometimes known as catch light cards.

There are also add-on accessory bounce cards, or a piece of white card or similar material can be used.
